EXCESSIVE HEAT

 

Ventura County Sheriff’s Emergency Services, in partnership with Ventura County Public Health, is monitoring a multi-day heat wave event. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued heat-related warnings for most non-coastal areas of the County from Saturday through Monday evening. FELICIA FIRE UPDATE – LAKE PIRU

 

Fire crews continue to make good progress on the Felicia Fire, and Ventura County Fire personnel anticipate achieving 100% containment by late Sunday, 10/6/2024. All evacuations and road closures have been lifted. However, travelers should remain alert for safety personnel and equipment in the area as mop up operations continue.

  • Highway 150 remains closed in both directions, from Stonegate Road in the City of Santa Paula to Thomas Aquinas College.
