FRANKLIN FIRE – LOS ANGELES COUNTY
Incident Summary
The Franklin Fire ignited at approximately 11:00 pm on Monday, December 9th, in Malibu Canyon area near Francisco Ranch and moved toward the Pacific Coast Highway. The fire is currently estimated at 4030 acres. Evacuations and road closures are still in effect as fire fighters from multiple agencies work to contain the fire. Weather Summary
Due to improved conditions, the National Weather Service cancelled the remainder of the Red Flag Warning for Ventura County as of 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Southern California Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS)
Due to improved conditions, Southern California Edison has discontinued monitoring the majority of circuits for PSPS. Remaining circuits without power are being inspected for re-energization. For questions regarding power restoration, or to submit a claim resulting from power loss, please contact Southern California Edison or call 1-800-655-4555.
